The Bioassay Quality Control Associate 1 will be responsible for GMP release testing of products produced at Modernas GMP manufacturing facility and affiliated contract organizations. This position will have a focus on Molecular and Cell Biology, including Sequencing, qPCR, and electrophoresis.
This position is for 1st shift Tuesday to Friday. Weekend work may be required.
Heres What Youll Do
Support testing for raw materials, drug substance, drug product, and cell lines.
Support revision of SOPs.
Perform general laboratory support activities including reagent preparation, equipment maintenance, etc.
Assist in laboratory housekeeping.
Establish and maintain a safe laboratory working environment.
Accept, complete, and report on assignments within the agreed upon timeframe.
Work with the Quality Control management team to continuously improve the quality, compliance, and efficiency of QC operations.
Additional duties may be assigned.
Heres What Youll Need (Minimum Qualifications)
BA or BS degree in Biochemistry or relevant scientific discipline
0-2 years of direct experience in QC Molecular testing and Cell Biology (e.g. qPCR, sequencing, potency, mammalian and bacterial cell culture)
Heres What Youll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications)
Ability to prepare reagents, pipette small volumes, work in a Biological Safety Cabinet
Experience with lab equipment/instruments such as Microplate Readers, Gel Imagers, Sequencers, and PCR systems.
Experience with mammalian and microbial cell culture.
Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Smart Sheet
Familiarity with electronic databases (e.g. LIMS, SAP, LMS)
Strong written and oral communication skills as well as organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to work effectively under established guidelines and instructions.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment.
Ability to efficiently prioritize and complete multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
This position is site-based, requiring you to be at Modernas site full-time. This position is not eligible for remote work.
