Pricing Specialist - Entry Level Merchandising Opportunity

Overview:
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Pricing Analyst to join our team. As a Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting market research, analyzing data, and developing pricing strategies to optimize revenue and profitability. This is a key role that will contribute to our company's success by ensuring competitive pricing and effective revenue management.

Duties:
- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends, competitor pricing strategies, and customer preferences
- Analyze sales data, financial reports, and industry trends to evaluate pricing effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, and Finance to develop pricing strategies that align with business objectives
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of pricing changes on sales volume, revenue, and profitability
- Develop and maintain pricing models and tools to support pricing decisions
- Assist in the development of pricing policies and guidelines
- Conduct regular analysis of inventory levels and make recommendations for inventory control measures
- Utilize data mining techniques to extract insights from large datasets
- Prepare reports and presentations on pricing analysis findings for management

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field preferred
- Retail experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced functions such as pivot tables
