We are looking for a Sea Freight Pricing Specialist to join our growing team in the US! As a Specialist, you will identify business opportunities in the U.S, negotiate and maintain competitive data on tariff rates in relevant platforms, and provide support to our Ocean Sourcing Team in the U.S, as well as Sales Teams in the Group.

Responsibilities:
- Designing competitive and effective logistics for any inquiries from the sales team, working closely with them to understand the needs that their customers have and providing them with relevant information
- Negotiating contracts, special rates, terms, and benefits that encourage the attraction of new business from ALL Sales Channels.
- Create a relationship with key strategic vendors such as shipping lines, co-loaders, warehouse and trucking companies, updating the vendor portfolio with rates, negotiations and contacts.
- Leading strategy and execution of RFQ, Biddings and Preassigned Business opportunities.
- Carrier and vendors evaluations, resulting on renegotiations and contract management, with a top priority on the Segment Strategy, but not limitative.
- Creating and maintaining rate sheets for SEA shipments in our rate management platform
- Recommending solutions to inefficiencies, if needed
- Conducting research for benchmarking and trends
- Collaborating with other departments to assist and solve client challenges
- Training others on our services, platforms and tools
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree specialising in Logistics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in sea exports
- 5+ years of experience in a freight forwarding role
- Fluency in Spanish, is considered an asset
- Experience negotiating with shipping lines
- A competitive and goal oriented mindset, with the ability to work and communicate well in a team setting
- High attention to detail and analytical skills
- Highly oriented to digitalization in the Forwarding industry
