The Role: Pricing Specialist
Objectives:
- Develop and utilize an Analytical Approach to Pricing which Maximizes Sales and Margin for the Group
- Be a Key Resource in Understanding the Competitive Pressures and Products within All US Markets
Job Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to understand industry trends, customer behavior, and competitor pricing strategies.
- Analyze macroeconomic factors and industry-specific conditions that may impact pricing decisions.
- Pricing Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, finance, and product management, to develop pricing strategies aligned with business goals.
- Design and implement pricing models that consider product lifecycle, value proposition, and market positioning.
- Competitive Intelligence:
- Monitor and assess competitor pricing strategies and market dynamics.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on competitive analysis to maintain a competitive edge.
- Price Setting and Adjustment:
- Establish and adjust pricing structures based on cost analysis, market conditions, and business objectives.
- Maintain and Update All Price Sheets for Input by Finance into CRM System
- Assist in Transition from a Manual Pricing Process to one Driven by Salesforce’s CPQ Pricing Tool.
- Create and Submit Quotes for Customers using Salesforce CPQ
- Recommend competitive pricing for RFPs, RFIs, RFQs, and Bids for Individual Products as Well as Full AMI Systems
- Work with Proposals Team to Ensure Timely Submission of RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs
- Leverage Salesforce CPQ to Maximize Pricing for Multi-Year Contracts Based Upon Escalation Clauses
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ Years Pricing Experience
- Strong Excel and analytical skills
- Strong mathematical aptitude
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with financial modeling and strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Strong Communication Skills to interface with cross-functional teams to obtain and validate inputs and develop and communicate compelling business recommendations
- Excellent Time Management and Prioritization Skills
- Prior Experience with Salesforce.com
