Position Overview:
As a Preventative Services Coordinator at Loup Basin Public Health Department, you will be responsible for organizing and conducting wellness screening clinics, managing the dispersal of colon cancer screening kits, and collaborating with partners to promote health and prevent chronic diseases in our community.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and conduct wellness screening clinics, including health assessments and screenings.
- Manage the distribution of colon cancer screening kits, ensuring accessibility and follow-up as needed.
- Collaborate with community partners to develop and implement health promotion initiatives and preventive programs.
- Work closely with healthcare professionals to coordinate preventive care services.
- Educate individuals and groups on preventive healthcare measures and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of preventive care interventions and outcomes.
- Assist in the development of outreach strategies to engage the community in preventive healthcare initiatives.
- Participate in health fairs and community events to raise awareness of preventive healthcare services.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a valid state license.
- Proven experience in conducting health screenings and managing preventive healthcare programs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and community partners.
- Knowledge of preventive healthcare best practices.
- Dedication to promoting health and preventing chronic diseases in the community.
