Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Establishing administrative policies and procedures for BBB operations and activities in a manner consistent with Local By-laws and IABBB (International Association of Better Business Bureaus) Operating Standards.
- Serve as a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee and makes recommendations to both bodies
- Oversee all aspects of BBB with special emphasis on local and national policies and programs, BBB financial management, Accreditation sales and retention data, operations database including business profiles, complaints and customer reviews, and BBB events
- Oversee completion of BBB annual evaluation and required reports, strategic planning, statistics, fiscal management and overall Management of BBB employees.
- Maintain budget functions including annual final creation and presentation to the Board of Directors and financial management, Thereof
- Regularly analyzes and interprets fiscal data, providing quarterly reports to BBB Senior Management and monthly to the Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
- Directs the custody and disbursement of all BBB funds
- Serves as the principal spokesperson and/or may develop Marketing/Communication to further the mission and enhance the image of the BBB, including maintaining relationships and/or attending meetings with entities including the media, organizations, businesses, government agencies, other BBB’s and IABBB.
- Provides overall management, planning and leadership to the BBB, providing guidance and mentoring to the management team to assure the Operational systems, processes and staffing are designed and optimized to accommodate the objectives of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Community Leader
- Minimum 5 years in top leadership position, preferably with a non-profit
- Board of Director experience, either as a Board member or as an employee reporting to a Board
- Experience or Ability to work within International structure, follow prescribed standards; ability to be creative within the structure
- Effective communicator and marketer
Compensation: Salary Range - $130,000 - $150,000
Benefits: Fully paid health insurance for employee through United Healthcare, employee may cover eligible family members at their expense; 4 weeks of vacation, can be used as accrued after 90 day waiting period, 401K match up to 3% of salary, eligible to participate after 90 days of employment; 6 Paid Sick days; , reimburse memberships and cell phone.
