SEARCH's House of Tiny Treasures (HTT) provides high-quality early childhood education for children, ages 21 months to 6 years, who have experienced homelessness in their young lives. Our goal is to break the cycle of deep poverty and homelessness by investing in the next generation in pivotal years for development. HTT offers a full-day, year-round program for our families at a dedicated campus in the third ward. SEARCH's headquarters is located within 2 miles, near the gateway from downtown to EADO.
This critical school leadership role serves as a Co-Director in charge with Child Care Licensing and helps supervise and operate all campus operations daily. Represents the school to staff, parents, volunteers, regulators, funders, venders, and partners. Our two Program Coordinators share overlapping operational duties such as staff supervision, always ensuring student safety, enforcing regulatory compliance, budget stewardship, and nurturing warm, caring relationships with our students and families that are centered in building community.
Curriculum Development, teacher skill building, pedagogical leadership for our Reggio inspired practice, and guiding data driven interventions to support academic and social emotional school readiness for all our students. Our campus will seek NAEYC accreditation again in the future – experience with operating successfully under NAEYC standards desired. Prior experience teaching in a Reggio setting ideal, as well as prior experience building curriculum and training for others. Prior teaching experience desired. Qualified to be a Certified Childcare Director in State of Texas required. Associates or Bachelors Degree in Early Education strongly preferred.
This position supports and leads our teaching team with classroom based coaching, planning support, and observations each week. Our teachers create an inclusive classroom community that supports young children processing trauma, helping them learn first and foremost that school is a safe and loving place. We provide a positive environment where there is a strong evidence of an emotional connection between the students and the teacher, and the students and teacher enjoy being with one another.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,500.00 per year
