The Intercollegiate School of Engineering Medicine (EnMed) is a tripartite collaboration between Texas A&M's College of Engineering, College of Medicine and the state's top-ranked Houston Methodist Hospital established to transform healthcare through translational interdisciplinary research, the development of medical technologies, and the development and training of "Physicianeers." The EnMed Physicianeer is a new kind of problem-solving doctor uniquely qualified to address some of healthcare's greatest challenges. These graduates receive a medical doctorate and master of engineering degree focused on the design and implementation of medical technologies in the same four years through a revolutionary integrated curriculum.

The School of Engineering Medicine is seeking a Program Coordinator I to coordinate and facilitate activities for Texas A&M's undergraduate medical education pre-clerkship program. The successful applicant will bring an expert level of experience to the position and understand the demands of supporting executives in a fast-paced environment. Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two years of experience in office administration or program coordination
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of spreadsheet, presentation and word processing software programs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to plan and organize effectively
- Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
- Experience working with individuals and communities
Preferred Experience:
- Five years of experience in medical education coordination
- Experience managing and/or coordinating delivery of medical curriculum
- Experience in health services and/or pre-clerkship medical education
- Experience with learning management system--eCampus and/or Canvas
- Experience working with individuals and communities in a higher education setting
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, FAMIS, CANOPY, AggieBuy, Maestro, and Concur
- Knowledge of program and institutional accreditation requirements
- Knowledge of undergraduate medical education programs
Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Management - Collaborates with coordinators and course leadership to coordinate and disseminate course materials required of curricular blocks, threads, clerkships and electives within COM's undergraduate medical education program (UME). Administers curriculum in an e-learning environment utilizing a learning management system application as well as additional required software applications.
- Coordinate Curriculum - Coordinates workflow with the aid of health education software. Manages student schedules, documentation, evaluations, assessments and grades of UME. Supports the preparation and presentation of course activities. Coordinates activities related to educational conferences, meetings, lectures, laboratory sessions, examinations and special events as directed by curriculum and leadership.
- Communication and Team Cooperation - Respectfully interacts with students, faculty, staff and external stakeholders. Liaises with affiliate partners, i.e., healthcare systems, clinics, and community organizations. Maintains strict confidentiality with regards to FERPA and HIPAA documentation, i.e., student records.
- Accreditation - Compiles and maintains data to ensure compliance with institutional and program accreditation requirements, i.e., LCME. Coordinates and prepares materials for continued institutional accreditation.
- Policies & Procedures - Understanding and knowledge of UME education policies and procedures and COM medical student handbook guidelines. Assists in carrying out policy and procedures. Follows established communication channels with regards to inquiries and issues.
- Budgeting and Fiscal Support - In a timely manner, tracks and reconciles eRVUs and clinical education units for faculty remuneration. Perform other duties as assigned.
