About us

Apple Ridge Montessori School is approved for preschool and kindergarten by the Maryland Department of Education and is validated as a Montessori School by the Montessori Schools of Maryland.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for preschool-aged children.
- Support the educational and social-emotional needs of students in the classroom.
- Collaborate with the lead teacher to create and maintain a safe and engaging learning environment.
- Assist with classroom management and behavior guidance.
- Provide individualized attention and support to students as needed.
- Help supervise students during outdoor playtime, meals, and rest periods.

Qualifications:

- Be available daily from 11 AM to 5 PM M-F.

- Must have MSDE-approved90-Hour Child Care Certification or be willing to get certified ASAP.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine interest in supporting the growth and development of young children.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Pay: $16.00 per hour
