Principal PR/Content Marketing
JOB PURPOSE
Lead content strategy, production and distribution of Acima’s public relations and B2B marketing communications efforts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute content strategy that positions Acima as a thought leader and builds brand awareness.
- Lead public relations strategy and manage public relations agency.
- Work closely with marketing, business development, product and other teams to establish campaigns and stories that engage our target audience.
- Create and manage content calendar and distribution strategy across multiple channels.
- Plan, write and proof high-quality inbound marketing content (e.g., blogs, case studies, white papers, “how to” guides, video scripts, etc.)
- Support the development of press releases and pitch briefs.
- Develop and execute strategies to advance the company’s brand in industry trade publications.
- Proactively monitor KPIs (traffic, engagement, leads, conversions) to recognize opportunities and communicate to key stakeholders; partner with analytics teams to create and optimize reporting.
- Monitor competitive landscape and proactively identify new opportunities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 5+years of experiencein content marketing and/or public relations; B2B marketing communications experience preferred.
- Strong writing, editing and communication skills required.
- Experience managing agencies and/or vendors.
- Thrives working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple shifting priorities.
- Detail oriented, creative problem solver with a strong track record in project management.
- Understanding of SEO principles
- Ability to work in office 5 days a week.
