Primary Purpose
The Maintenance Execution Manager is responsible for the safe and environmentally compliant execution of all maintenance and sustaining project work within the asset. The position is also responsible for providing input and managing the annual maintenance budget which includes overall headcount, training, software updates, equipment, and safety cost for the current and upcoming fiscal year. The expectation is to foster a harmonious working relationship within the maintenance leadership team to achieve a world class maintenance organization. Provides guidance to the Planning and Asset Integrity leads in achieving the maintenance goals of the Maintenance Work Process KPI's. Develops and directs a team of leaders and staff to create maintenance operating procedures and training modules for all crafts along with applicable hiring criteria for each. This role is the strategic arm working under the direction of the Director of Maintenance to assure that the organization is operating as efficiently and safety as possible while achieving the maintenance goals. This role is also the primary interface for maintenance for other site functions to assure a collaborative and integrated work environment with the maintenance team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs field observations, leadership field walks, JSA reviews, tool box meetings, field self verifications, and competency and field assessments.
- Performs annual and semiannual performance reviews with PALNG direct reports providing positive and constructive feedback for self-development. Provides guidance in achieving career goals with each report and supports the development of supervisors and staff.
- Ensures the maintenance team is performing effectively by reviewing KPIs and monitoring systems and processes that will assure our short and long term success within the maintenance.
- Interfaces effectively with stakeholder groups including Engineering, HSSE, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Turnaround Services, and Environmental
- Ensures daily continuous improvement techniques are being applied through routine meeting cadences. Responsible for driving day on day improvements on how we operate the facility as well as improvements in our management practices.
- Ensures overall accountability of the performance of the contract workforce both from a safety and reliability perspective. Ensures the appropriate qualifications, practices, standards, and metrics are measured and are adhered to in accordance to PALNG standards.
- Develops the work force creating a succession plan for all key roles utilizing employee goals and training to identify protentional candidates.
- Conducts and participates in internal and external audits.
- Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Technology, or other related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10 years of experience with Petrochemical, Refining, Power Generation or LNG.
- 5 years of experience in a compatible leadership role.
- 10 years of experience in a leadership role preferred.
- Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) required.
- Valid Driver's License or reliable mode of transportation required.
- Possess extensive knowledge in implementing best practices for maintenance.
- Possess strong leadership abilities to build positive team environment, manage and influence team performance including mentoring.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of operating site safety, environmental, and emergency response programs.
- Possess analytical thinking and ability to utilize concise data and information while working through problems and implementing solutions.
- The ability to apply strong written and oral communication skills while presenting and participating in discussions with internal and external project stakeholders.
- Possess positive attitude and has the ability and poise to be professional during crucial discussions with senior management, and/or while presenting critical information requiring management decision to overcome issues and concerns regarding the site operations.
- Possess extensive knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, PPT, Visio to convey information with clarity through presentations and reports.
- Possess extensive experience in meeting project goals and objectives utilizing forward looking approach.
- Possess extensive experience in managing and mitigating maintenance risks.
- Possess strong working knowledge and understanding of how to read and interpret P IDs.
- Understanding of competency development programs and supporting tools and practices. Possess the ability to manage multiple and complex issues and work independently.
- Possess strong working knowledge of permit to work and safe isolation practices.
- Understanding of the maintenance work process and systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in a leadership role preferred.
