Overview:Are you a dynamic Finance leader with a knack for numbers and a passion for problem-solving? We have an exciting opportunity at our Weather Guard and Knaack manufacturing facility!

As our Plant Controller, you will be the backbone of our financial operations, driving forecasting, financial reporting, and strategic decision-making. You will oversee our accounting department, manage the month-end close process, and perform financial analysis that guides our operations.

Your role will also involve creating and maintaining processes and procedures to ensure proper controls across operations, co-managing the annual physical inventory observation, and assisting in the preparation of the annual business plan.

Responsibilities:

• Forecasting Reports: Prepare weekly operations forecasting reports and review them with plant and corporate management.
• Operations Management Interaction: Assist operations management with issues.
• Accounting Department Management: Oversee the accounting department.
• Financial Reporting: Coordinate accounting, financial reporting, and analysis, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements.
• Month-End Close Process: Manage the month-end close process, including analyzing all manufacturing production variances.
• Cost Improvements: Assist in the development, implementation, and measurement of operation cost improvements.
• Capital Appropriation Requests: Review capital appropriation requests and provide financial assistance.
• Process and Procedure Creation: Create and maintain processes and procedures to ensure proper controls exist across operations.
• Inventory Management: Co-manage the annual physical inventory observation; monitor the cycle count program and resolve issues.
• Business Plan Preparation: Assist in the preparation of the annual business plan and forecast updates.
• Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis to guide strategic operation decisions and key initiatives.
• Other Duties: Perform other related duties as may be reasonably assigned in the course of business.

Qualifications:Experience & Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration with a minor in Accounting; MBA or CPA desired, but not mandatory.
• Eight to ten years’ experience in accounting function. Working knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles, practices and procedures.
