The six physician orthopaedic surgery group consists of surgeons specializing in Foot/Ankle, joints, spine and sports medicine.

ResponsibilitiesAscension Medical Group University Orthopaedic Specialists is looking for a Certified Physician Assistant to join their busy practice in Rochester, Michigan.
Position Highlights:
- Practice has a newly renovated clinic and is looking to expand their group.
- 22 exam rooms, x-ray and ~ 325 outpatient visits weekly.
- Office procedures include casting, c-arm, ultrasound, PRP, stem cell and HA injections.
- Office hours are Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
- Practice has hospital affiliations with Ascension Providence Rochester Hospital, Ascension Macomb Oakland Hospital and Ascension St. John Hospital. Surgery block time available.
Responsibilities:
- See patients in the outpatient clinic, hospital rounding and serve as 1st Assist in the OR.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Physician Assistant:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
- Physician Assistant credentialed from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
- Physician Assistant with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Michigan Board Physician Assistants Task Force obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
- Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
Nurse Practitioner:
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
• Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office.
Education:
Physician Assistant:
- Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program required.
- Master's degree preferred.
Nurse Practitioner:
• Master's degree of Nursing required.
Work Experience:
- 1 year of experience preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience as a practicing Physician Assistant in Orthopedic Surgery is strongly preferred.
