At Sonoran Desert Pet Resort in Anthem, AZ, we strive to be the best Pet Resort in the Valley and we take our jobs seriously! It is often stressful for our furry friends to be away from their parents so it takes an exceptional team with an “All Paws on Deck” attitude to ensure they are well taken care of and happy during their stay with us.
As Pet Resort Team Lead/Supervisor at SDPR, you will be responsible for ensuring that all team members are adequately trained, that all policies and procedures are followed, and that both safety and customer service are our main focuses. We are a busy 8,000 sqft facility in Anthem, AZ with a loyal customer base offering daycare, pet boarding, and a pet spa to our customers. Pet boarding is a seasonal business so working some weekends, and all holidays are a must. If you are a self-starter who loves animals and has a positive managing style to motivate a team, then you may be just what we need.
EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience leading a team of 5 or more
- Direct experience working with animals, especially all dog breeds
- Computer literate
- Customer service experience

Responsibilities:
- Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed by all staff members.
- Training and developing new employees.
- Ensuring that all customers and animal guests are treated with integrity and kindness.
- Resolving customer issues by adhering to company standards.
- Maintaining an overall management style that is mentoring and follows company best practices.
- Providing leadership and direction to all employees giving constructive criticism in a positive manner.
- Ensuring that the facility is being accurately cleaned and sanitized for a healthy environment for our guests.
- Ensuring that all employees are completing their daily tasks accurately and efficiently and checking them off when completed. Spot check to be sure they are done.
- Organizing employee schedules ensuring that all shifts are covered.
- Ensuring that health, safety, and security rules are followed.
- Ensuring a consistent high level of customer service.
- Communicate any issues to the owner as they arise.
- Keep track of supplies and let owner know when items need to be re-ordered.
- Keep company costs down whenever possible including decreasing overtime and wasteful company supplies.
