Home for Good is an affordable housing nonprofit dedicated to providing safe, affordable housing in single-family homes, combined with support and advocacy, to families with children experiencing housing insecurity in downtown Eau Claire.
The Peer Support Specialist is responsible for providing peer and tenancy support & mentorship to youth and/or adults in the Comprehensive Community Services program in Eau Claire County. CCS is avoluntarypsychosocial rehabilitation program designed for Eau Claire County residents coping with mental health and/or substance use conditions. In the role of Peer Support Specialist, you will not only provide support to the participants you work with, but you will also assess the systemic and relational dynamics that may be exacerbating the challenges the participant is facing. It will be the responsibility of the Peer Support Specialist to seek out the expertise of other professionals who may be able to help alleviate systemic or relational dysfunction in the lives of participants.
This is a hybrid role with a combination of on-site and remote work opportunities.

Peer Mentorship & Support
Showing up consistently in the lives of the youth or adults that you support
Engaging participants through individually tailored mentoring sessions
Harnessing the healing nature of healthy relationships through an emphasis on physical movement, creative process, forms of artistic expression, and open communication
Tenancy Mentorship & Support
Providing individual living skills and development to support program tenant families in their daily living tasks through a person-centered, trauma-informed approach tailored to the individual and their goals, focusing on everything from finance and budgeting, to hygiene and nutrition. By establishing a rental history and consistent living conditions through our program, families will build a platform on which to develop and better their lives.
We are looking for an individual with:
Lived experience with mental health, substance abuse challenges, and/or housing insecurity, AND/OR
Prior experience working with a historically underserved population; some experience in providing crisis support is preferred.
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in a service-related capacity.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to effectively communicate at all levels.
Experience working with youth.
Flexibility in scheduling and commitment to timeliness.
A growth-mindset and passion for service.
Must have a reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license to transport participants.
The pay rate for this full-time position is $20-25/hr.
