What qualifications you will need:
JOB SUMMARY
Support the day-to-day management and operations of Wintel systems configuration, performance, uptime, resources and security of all servers. Monitor hardware maintenance contracts to ensure warranties are current, expired or about to expire. Interface with Corporate HCA IT&S to ensure policies and procedures are being followed with respect to connectivity standards, communication equipment standards, and various operating systems. Ensure vendor compliance with IT infrastructure in all offices, local and remote for HealthTrust Workforce Solutions. Participate in a 24x7 on-call duty rotation.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze system logs and pro-actively identify potential issues
- Apply operating system updates, patches and configuration management
- Perform periodic performance reports to support capacity planning
- Perform periodic hardware inventory audits
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
- Utilize VMware for day-to-day management of servers in HCA’s private cloud
- Perform regular system security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions
- Responsible for documenting systems configuration and maintaining documentation requirements for data systems installation and maintenance requests.
- Ensures that all computer systems are backed up according to designated retention policies. Also performs backup recovery if needed.
- Provides remote support when necessary and on-site support when required, which may involve travel – domestically and internationally.
- Maintain and support all printers office wide.
- Seek out appropriate assistance when unable to resolve a problem.
- Analyze routine processes and automate when applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.

- College Graduate Preferred

- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize.
- Works well independently and within a team environment.
- Knowledge of operating systems and applications.
- Proficiency with Computer Technology; Microsoft Office Products.
- Maintains working area and equipment in accordance with environmental & safety regulations.
- Must be flexible to work when needed to avoid interfering with peak user shifts and be able to transfer to remote sites for installations and maintenance when needed.
- Maintains certifications, education and development appropriate for position.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
- Exert up to 20 lbs force occasionally, and /or up to 10 lbs frequently
- Requires prolonged sitting and some bending, stooping, and stretching.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate; a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment.
- Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.
- Work is performed in and office environment and involves frequent contact with staff and the public.
