The Department of Pediatrics at Stamford Hospital seeks a BC F/T Pediatrics Hospitalist to join the team. The incoming Pediatric Hospitalist will oversee care of hospitalized pediatric patients as well as provide some Well Baby Care. The Pediatric Hospitalist service also offers consultation to attendings in the Department of Pediatrics and Family Medicine. The physician will also provide teaching and medical consultation as necessary for the Department of Surgery and Family Medicine residents as well as Physician Assistant students.
Stamford Hospital has a 10-bed inpatient pediatrics unit with an average daily census of 6-7. We have 36 beds in the well-baby nursery and a robust delivery service. Our Emergency Department has a separate Pediatrics E.R. Unit with 8 state-of-the-art beds, and we are staffed with Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physicians until 10 pm daily.
The ideal candidate is B/C with Pediatric Hospitalist experience, with excellent communication skills and the desire to provide patient and family centered care.
