Job Description
The PC Support Technician assists the Family Health Center (FHC) personnel with endpoint technology equipment including PCs, printers, monitors, scanners, phones, peripherals and other related equipment by coordinating, planning, organizing, dispatching colleagues, tracking, training, and scheduling. This individual will also be involved with major systems updates that affect hardware or software applications. The PC Support Technician - FHC assist the IT Director with analytical, technical and administrative work in planning, design and installation of new and existing PC-based computer systems, printers, scanners and other related desktop technology.
For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational
qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.
Minimum Required: Associate degree in computer/network support or related field.
Preferred/Optional: NoneEXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: Three years’ experience with desktop technology hardware and software support. Experience working with desktop technology in a Microsoft network environment including basic understanding of Active Directory. Basic understanding of TCP/IP protocol, wired and wireless network connectivity, and VLANs. Experience with desktop technologies in a health care environment.
Preferred/Optional: Experience on multiple brands of hardware and software including Microsoft, HP, Fujitsu, Adobe, etc. Some formal training in computer science.
