Job Description:

As a Hardware Support Technician, you will be responsible for delivering first-level technical support with varying levels of expertise and accountability. Your role involves managing physical desktop setups, transferring hardware inventory, tracking assets, assisting with home office and field desktop hardware, and engaging in continuous workflow enhancements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct physical desktop setups, including monitor, dock, and printer placement, ensuring efficient cable management.
  • Transfer hardware inventory between locations using manual pallet jacks or carts, participating in physical inventory, and accurately tracking assets in Service Now asset management software.
  • Support home office and field desktop hardware, perform Windows/MAC imaging, software loads, diagnostics, and manage inventory efficiently.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues, providing analysis and research support to Computer Equipment Admin and Service Desk teams.
  • Interface with various internal clients, addressing workstation hardware needs and issues effectively.


Job Requirements:


  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field OR significant relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of technical Help Desk experience with intermediate knowledge in computer and mobile device troubleshooting.
  • Strong customer service skills demonstrated verbally, in writing, and through ticket communication at all levels.
  • Proficiency in physical desktop setups, cable management, and tracking work progress.
  • Ability to handle hardware transfers, physical inventory, and asset tracking efficiently.
  • Capable of lifting 35 lbs, performing equipment installs, and managing cable under desks.
  • Proficient in software packages like Word, Outlook, Excel, and Slack for communication and task tracking.
  • Skilled in basic computer setup, imaging, software loads, and data transfers.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, productivity, and ownership of assigned duties.
  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, drive process improvements, and seek innovative solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and excellent written and oral communication.
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities with a focus on client experience improvement.
