Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Payroll/Human Resources Administrator. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with various HR functions and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures as well as responsible for accurately processing payroll and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations . The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and knowledge of accounting and payroll software.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, changes, and terminations
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity in HR systems
- Process payroll and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees
- Prepare and distribute HR-related reports as needed
- Assist with recruitment efforts, including job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews
- Coordinate new hire onboarding process, including conducting orientations and completing necessary paperwork
- Support employee relations by addressing inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
- Assist with performance management processes, including tracking performance reviews and providing support to managers
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Analyze, process, and maintain accurate payroll records for all employees
- Calculate and process employee wages, deductions, and adjustments
- Assist with accounts receivable tasks as needed
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll regulations and ensure compliance
- Utilize payroll software such as ADP, PeopleSoft, or Kronos to process payroll
Qualifications:
- Experience or degree in Accounting, Human Resources or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and financial concepts
- Proficient in data entry
- Familiarity with governmental accounting practices is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Strong analytical skills to analyze data and identify trends or discrepancies
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
