Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately processing payroll and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This is a crucial role within our organization, as you will be responsible for ensuring that our employees are paid accurately and on time.
Duties:
- Process payroll for employees using various payroll systems such as Workday, QuickBooks, Paycheck, and Accounter Office
- Calculate and enter data related to hours worked, overtime, vacation time, sick leave, and other payroll-related information
- Verify accuracy of payroll data and resolve any discrepancies or errors
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposit statements to employees
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
- Generate reports on payroll expenses, deductions, taxes, and other related information
- Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee data and resolve any payroll-related issues
- Assist with year-end reporting and preparation of W-2 forms
Skills:
- Proficient in 10 key typing and data entry
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and procedures
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Paycheck or other similar systems
- Familiarity with corporate accounting principles
- Knowledge of government accounting regulations and requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
- Billigual in Spanish or Portuguese
