Payroll Specialist.
The Role- Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time using ADP Workforce Now.
- Enter new hires, terminations, and changes into the payroll system.
- Update and fund contributions for 401(k) Plan, health benefits, (i.e., FSA, HSA, and commuter plans) and manage associated accounting schedules and reconciliations.
- Calculate and process payroll adjustments, including merit increases, incentives and benefit plan deductions to include 40l(k) Plan deferral and health benefits.
- Reconcile payroll data and load to GL to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Generate payroll reports for management review and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding payroll taxes and reporting.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues.
- Respond to employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters
- Stay informed about changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Who Are You?- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll administration, preferably in a financial institution or credit union.
- Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is required.
- Strong understanding of payroll principles, practices and regulations.
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
