Aperto Property Management, Inc. is a growing Multifamily Property Management Company. We are looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to be responsible for all payroll-related tasks to join our team at the corporate office in Irvine.
In this role, your responsibilities will include collecting and reviewing employee information and working hours, calculating wages, preparing and processing employee payments, and maintaining accurate payroll records.
A successful Payroll Specialist should be able to investigate and resolve payroll issues and ensure strict compliance with company and regulatory standards. An outstanding Payroll Specialist should also have excellent people skills and a high numerical aptitude.
Responsibilities:
- Collecting timesheet data and payroll information.
- Processes payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
- Entering data into payroll and administrative databases and software programs.
- Calculating wages, benefits, tax deductions, commissions, etc.
- Preparing and processing paychecks and cash deposits.
- Maintaining accurate records of payroll documentation and transactions.
- Preparing and distributing income statements.
- Responding to payroll-related inquiries and resolving concerns.
- Performing account balance and payroll reconciliations.
- Preparing financial reports for accounting and auditing purposes.
- Preparing periodic payroll reports for review by management.
- Assist with special projects, as needed.
- Other essential duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- A degree in accounting, business, or a related field may be preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working in payroll or a similar role.
- Property Management experience preferred.
- Experience with Paycor preferred.
- Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices.
- Experience working with accounting and payroll software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High numerical aptitude.
- Detail-oriented.
Qualifications:
Education
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Associate degree preferred.
Experience
- 5 Years Payroll experience
- Experience with multi-locations and multi-state required.
- Experience with Paycor preferred

Salary: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
