The Job You Will Perform:
- Responsible for a variety of routine and some non-routine accounting/clerical functions in accordance with standard procedures in one or more of the following areas: payroll, general accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and/or forecasting
- Perform daily financial activities of the mill
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of daily, weekly, and monthly reports
- Responsible for reconciling payroll prior to processing
- May use software packages to compute withholdings and deductions where multiple tax laws are involved as well as payments on sales draws and commissions
- Handle off cycle checks
- Use WorkBrain application effectively to run reports, enter employee holidays, add vacation records, etc.
- Coordinate with HR Team for activities regarding wage increases, employee reports, certification increases or decreases, and short-term disability
- Assist with month-end close under direction of the Mill Controller
- Assist with reconciling AP items throughout the month
- Responsible for entering and keeping records of raw materials receipt information within the SAP system
The Skills You Will Bring:
- High school diploma or GED required, college degree preferred
- 3+ years of payroll related experience required
- Demonstrated knowledge of all Microsoft Office
- Proficiency using spreadsheets, database, and word processing software
- Ability to work independently
