Are you passionate about payroll and making sure all our employees are paid on time and without error? Look no further! We are searching for detailed oriented Payroll & Benefits Specialists.
Anderson Health Services is a mental and behavioral health program to provide 24/7 emotional support to clients with a history of complex trauma. The hours for this position are 9am-5pm and will ensure employees are enrolled in their benefits and paid on time.
The Payroll & Benefits Specialists at Anderson Health Services is expected to:
- Gather information on hours worked for each employee.
- Calculate the correct amount incorporating overtime, deductions, bonuses etc. with the assistance of a computer system.
- Receive approval from upper management for payments when needed.
- Prepare and execute pay orders through an electronic system or distribute paychecks.
- Administer statements of payment to personnel either electronically or on paper.
- Process taxes and payment of employee benefits.
- Keep track of hour rates, wages, compensation benefit rates, new hire information etc.
- Address issues and questions regarding payroll from employees and superiors.
- Prepare reports for upper management, finance department etc.
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent AND Two years of experience in payroll related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration from a regionally accredited college or university; AND One year of experience in payroll, bookkeeping or accounting.
Physical Requirements
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Work is considered light physical work, requiring the exertion of up to ten pounds of force.
Additional Requirements
Must be 21 years and older and have a valid NC driver's license with a good driving record. Must be able to demonstrate effective self-regulation strategies. Must be coachable and willing to learn. All potential job candidates must pass a drug screening and background check.
