+ Part-Time Payroll Specialist
Northwest Accounting and Financial Management is seeking a motivated, independent, people person
to join our team! NWAFM is a local Accounting firm that helps non-profits and other businesses manage their finances so they can focus on their mission to help others. + Job Responsibilities
- Payroll Administration for several non-profits with a combined 100+ employees.
- Processing bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and monthly payrolls which include monitoring the time tracking system, maintaining and entering all payroll data for each processing, auditing, and resolving issues.
- Identify methods to make practices more efficient and automated throughout the company.
- Maintain database of personnel information and accurate payroll records.
- Prepare paychecks/direct deposits to ensure that employees are paid on time and in the correct amount.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws, including remittance of payroll taxes.
- Handle employee complaints about incorrect payments and resolve discrepancies.

+ Work Enviornment
Must be located in the Puget Sound area. While this work is mostly remote, you must be able to meet in person as needed.
+ Essential Skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
*Major plus if you know QuickBooks or Patriot Software and are tech savvy and can figure out ways to automate procedures using the above softwares.*
+ On Call Responsibilities
You are interested in primary part-time work that could grow over 6-12 months to full time with benefits. Flexibility to take on extra hours to
meet client needs. We are very understanding of family commitments, but seek candidates without interference from other paid jobs.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 16 per week
