Essential Duties and Responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Part-Time Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately processing and managing payroll for local businesses employees on a part-time basis. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of payroll processes and regulations. The Part-Time Payroll Specialist will collaborate with the employers to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, as well as address any payroll-related inquiries from their employees.
Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
- Calculate and process employee payroll accurately and on time
- Process payroll adjustments, including bonuses, commissions, tips, and deductions
Compliance:
- Stay up to date with state and federal payroll regulations to ensure compliance
- Filling quarterly federal and state payroll reports
Record Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee information, payroll changes, and other relevant data
Communication:
- Provide clear and timely communication regarding payroll changes, deadlines, and other relevant information to employers
Systems Management:
- Utilize payroll software to process payments and generate reports
Documentation:
- Prepare and maintain documentation of payroll processes and procedures.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency in payroll processing
- Implement best practices to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the payroll system
