Panacea Health Corp is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our dynamic team in the healthcare industry. The Payroll Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll activities for our organization. This position requires a strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance with regulations, and effective communication skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing payroll operations and leading a team.
Job Requirements/Qualifications of the Payroll Manager:
- Proven experience in payroll processing, with a minimum of 2 years in a Payroll Managerial role
- In-depth knowledge of Pennsylvania state and federal payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, as well as time-and-attendance/payroll systems
- Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.
Responsibilities of the Payroll Manager:
- Payroll Processing and Reconciliation
- Oversee end-to-end payroll processing cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and relevant regulations
- Implement best practice procedures for timecard and payroll reconciliations and audits to ensure timely completion of payroll with minimized errors
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner
- Reconcile union, benefit, and garnishment deductions with external parties
- Leadership
- Mentor a team of payroll coordinators, providing guidance on best practices and fostering a collaborative work environment
- Lead hands-on education and support to payroll department and facilities to keep the teams up-to-date with payroll procedures, regulations, and time & attendance/payroll systems
- Compliance and Reporting
- Stay abreast of federal, Pennsylvania state, and local payroll and tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Ensure system calculations of wages, deductions, taxes, and overtime follow all applicable regulatory and company rules
- Generate and submit accurate payroll and/or tax reports to relevant government agencies and internal stakeholders
