The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, the Triple-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees and member club of Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH), seek a responsible, organized, and experienced individual to manage all part-time employee Payroll & game day scheduling, planning and implementation of the team’s hiring fair, basic accounting assistance and manager of front office for the RailRiders. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director of Finance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist departmental managers in the recruitment of seasonal staff including organizing job fairs and ensuring all staff are properly onboarded.
- Oversee training to ensure all seasonal staff provide superior customer service and follow all rules established by the team.
- Run bi-weekly payrolls for seasonal staff in an accurate and timely manner and upload payroll journals in the accounting system.
- Primary contact for all seasonal staff.
- Assist with general accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
- Assist with the monthly and annual financial close.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations.
- Record and deposit daily cash receipts.
- Reconcile daily credit card sales from the ticketing system.
- Prepare post-game reports.
- Assist with logging and delivering incoming mail and packages.
- Order and stock office supplies, place Fed Ex and outgoing shipping orders for Team and Clubhouse, as needed.
- Log & report all package deliveries for the Clubhouse and front office to MLB.
- Answer phones, keep the reception area clean and welcoming for visitors.
- Attend all Team home games and events with the ability to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Human Resources, or related field is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with demonstrated success.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with fellow employees.
- Willing to work non-traditional hours (nights, weekends, holidays).
