About the Payroll & HR Operations Analyst:
This role reports into the People Operations Department and reports directly to the HR Global Operations Director.
Essential Duties:

  • Support calculating and processing employee wages, salaries, bonuses, and other forms of compensation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of employees, taking into consideration factors like hours worked, overtime, deductions, and taxes.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation.
  • Must be familiar with various pay types; hourly, salaried, salaried non-exempt, salaried commissioned, and processing payment for interns.
Compensation
  • Assist with organizing data around applicable pay components related to time and attendance, reimbursement programs, gifts cards, anniversary bonus and equity and commission payments.
  • Assist with reporting and payroll data to analyze compensation trend and or notable variance/ discrepancies.
Benefits Administration
  • Calculate and assist with benefit changes as it related to payroll deductions and reconciliation to monthly vendor statements and billing.
  • Collaborate with HR team to support and ensure accurate benefit enrollment and processing as it impacts the pay statement.
  • Knowledgeable in areas multi-faceted reporting respective to 401(k) compliance, leave administration and administration around sick pay and leave calculation.
  • Ability to calculate and process payments related to short-term disability leave, as well as any other mandatory payroll garnishment; child support and/tax levy.
Compliance and Regulations
  • Staying up to date with local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations related to payroll and compensation across a multi-state organization. Familiarity with CA payroll compliance and standards is a bonus.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements. Assist with state tax inquiries and paperwork and supporting documentation.
  • Processing payroll in accordance with legal and regulatory guidelines.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyzing payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement. Ability to generate and query system databases to support HR-reporting needs with minimal guidance and direction is necessary.
  • Reconciliation of monthly billing and vendor billing pertaining to payroll.
  • Assist payroll team with reinforcing and establishing payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures.
Problem Resolution
  • Addressing employee inquiries and concerns related to payroll, taxes, deductions, and compensation.
  • Investigating and resolving discrepancies or errors in payroll processing.
Collaboration and Communication
  • Collaborating with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure accurate and consistent information flow.
System and Process Improvement:
  • Identifying opportunities to streamline payroll processes and improve efficiency.
  • Implementing and utilizing payroll software and systems to manage data and automate processes.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of payroll regulations, compensation principles, and data analysis. Additionally, attention to detail, accuracy, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with sensitive and confidential information are essential.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Business Administration, Accounting degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years business related experience
  • Must have related payroll HRIS systems experience (Ceridian/Dayforce—preferred, UKG, ADP, Oracle,Workday).
  • Proficiency in Excel, creating pivot tables, building, and comparing data files. The ability to generate and create reporting, as well as verifying accuracy of content is imperative to success in this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
Any relevant license or certification applicable to human resources applied profession: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), SHRM- CP, Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
C2FO’s global HQ is located in Kansas City. This role is hybrid for someone within the KC Metro. or fully remote. Salary range is $70,000 - $80,000. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
