Responsibilities:
- Process and manage payroll for employees using UltiPro or similar payroll software
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, including deductions, taxes, and benefits
- Maintain payroll records and documentation in compliance with company policies and government regulations
- Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits to employees
- Resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues in a timely manner
- Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and reporting
- Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee data and changes are reflected in the payroll system
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in payroll processing or related field
- Knowledge of governmental accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using payroll software such as UltiPro or Ceridian
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Familiarity with tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Understanding of debits, credits, and general accounting principles
- Experience with accounts receivable is a plus
