Payroll/Billing Clerk

Primary Responsibilities

· Calculate and enter payroll trips into Axon or appropriate operating system.

· Report gross payroll figures for Transcend Transport drivers on a weekly basis.

· Compare drivers’ weekly paid mileage to computer (GPS) miles.

· Calculate and generate a bill for preload hours (weekly)

· Calculate and generate a bill for scrap billing hours (weekly)

· Verify accuracy, then approve for payment miscellaneous billings concerning Transcend trucks (Truck washes, truck stop showers, etc.)

· Create manual invoices for I-Pass usage

· Create manual invoices for scale usage

· Create manual invoices as needed

· Maintain driver’s payroll files

· Rotate files to the basement as needed.

· Perform end of month reporting

· Perform other duties as assigned

```Experience```
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a transportation environment.

- High School Diploma or GED required
- Proficient in 10-key typing
- Familiarity with Kronos and Workday software is a plus
- Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes and procedures
- Experience in payroll management is highly desirable
- Ability to analyze financial data and perform journal entries accurately
- Solid understanding of debits and credits principles
