Overview:
The Payroll Administrator/HR Generalist is responsible for administering payroll functions on a weekly basis and maintaining the daily functions of the Human Resources department.
The payroll administrator/human resources generalist will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities and will help with important functions such as assist in development and implementation of human resource policies, conduct employee onboarding and help plan training & development, and manage all aspects of payroll.
Essential Job Functions including, but not limited to:
•Processes payroll in a timely manner•Ensures the accuracy of timecards, PTO, and commission statements.•Updates salary changes, garnishments, loan amounts, deductions, & bonuses as needed.•Assists employees with payroll related questions.•Manages electronic timekeeping.•Serves as the first point of contact to all applicants to help troubleshoot and provide guidance when necessary.•Schedules pre-employment drug screenings.•Initiates background screenings.•Initiates onboarding, plans and educates newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations.•Ensures all required documentation is completed by new employee prior to training.•Conducts New Hire orientation.•Maintains all employee files, paper and electronic.•Responsible for data entry, filing, scanning, and uploading into HRIS system.•Collaborates with outside vendors, upper management, and employees.•Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification•Tracks employee’s significant dates to administer next steps, including benefit enrollment, 401(k) participation, training programs, bonuses, and other trackable events.•Generates official internal documents such as offer letters, separation letters, salary slips and warning letters.•Provides HR support to employees as needed.•Assists HR Manager with all administrative tasks as needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to maintain confidentiality of all aspects of job responsibilities.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Proficient computer skills
Education and Experience:
Associate degree in related field. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
At least 3 years of previous experience as a payroll administrator, HR coordinator, or related role.
