BASIC SUMMARY:

Fiddler’s Creek Management, Inc is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to support our Payroll Manager and Human Resources department to ensure payroll processes are accurate and efficient.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Checks timesheets for accuracy.
- Collects, analyzes, prepares, and inputs payroll data in databases and spreadsheets.
- Corrects and guides supervisors and managers on payroll errors and omissions.
- Handles direct deposit requests and data. Calculates and prepares check requests and mails checks for garnishments and other payroll deductions.
- Ensures eligible employee reimbursement payments are accurate for payroll processing.
- Communicate with employees and managers about payroll processes and respond to all payroll inquiries regarding paychecks, benefits, and taxes.
- Prepares reports and analyses as requested.
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting Payroll and HR functions.
- Adjusts pay for raises, bonuses, and assists in preparing and processing necessary paperwork.
- Able to produce accurate and timely payroll. Can serve as a seamless back up to the Payroll Manager for payroll processing as needed.
- Conduct regularly scheduled audits of payroll records to ensure continued accuracy.
- Manage all PTO requests on our ADP WorkForceNow platform.
- Audit active and terminated team members.
- Assist/provide Cobra information to employees.
- Serve as the benefits liaison between insurance providers and employees.
- Lead the process for annual benefits enrollment with employees from the employer side.
- Create an audit process to ensure that team members are prompt with their benefit enrollments.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPEREINCE/OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent; BS/BA in business, accounting or a relevant field is a plus.
- At least 3-5 years' experience in payroll processing.
- Must have working knowledge of ADP payroll software.
- Experience in hospitality processing payroll factoring in gratuities is preferred.
- Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations of the field. Understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices.

- Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office- particularly Excel is required.
