Payment Poster

Serbin Medical Billing is currently looking for an experienced Payment Posting Specialist. Qualified individual must have at least 2 years of payment posting experience. Experience in an Ambulatory Surgery Center is preferred. Must reside in Lee / Collier County, FL. This is a remote - hybrid position with some hours a week held in the office. Flexible hours Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:
- Accurately post payments to patient accounts using the appropriate payment posting systems and software
- Review and reconcile payment batches to ensure accuracy
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payments
- Collaborate with the billing team to ensure proper coding and documentation for accurate payment posting
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:
-Knowledge of insurance carrier billing and an in-depth understanding of EOBs and insurance contracts.

-Proficient in Microsoft excel & word

-Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT codes
- At least 2 years experience in posting payments in a medical office setting
- Proficient in using payment posting systems and software
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

-Reside in Lee / Collier County, FL.

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
