Hospital Payment Specialist
Position Summary:
Ultimate Staffing is collaborating with a reputable Medical Facility in North Palm Beach, FL, to find skilled Hospital Payment Specialists. These long-term temporary roles(6month minimum) offer a competitive hourly rate and the possibility of becoming permanent positions within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Download and process Electronic Remittance Advices (ERAs) in a centralized cash receipt environment.
- Post payments from Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance Payers, and patients, including ERA, EFT, and cash receipts.
- Ensure accuracy in posting payments to the correct facility, payer, patient, and date of service.
- Assist in daily and monthly balancing of payment postings to support internal cash controls.
Education Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent. Some college preferred. Additional coursework preferred, such as ICD10, CPT coding, medical terminology.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years in a hospital environment or similar environment.
- Experience in posting payments and denials from paper EOBs as well as Electronic 835 files.
- Ability to interpret Explanation of Benefits.
Pay Range:
$18 - $19 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule:
Monday- Friday
8:30 AM-5:00 PM
