Form of workJacksonville Orthopaedic Institute is in search of a Payment Posterto work at the San Marco JOI office located on San Marco Blvd.
Schedule: Monday-Friday; 40 hours/week; Flexible schedule; Will have to rotate in the office, however, work will primarily be remote.
The Payment Poster is responsible for posting insurance payments, posting patient payments, patient account auditing, balancing the computer system for Close of Day and Close of Month, preparing patient statements, and various other accounting tasks.
This position is full-time with benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and a 401K retirement plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet Process Data Correction/Adjustment requests
- Reconcile secondary tickets in filed rejected status (In GE)
- Process patient statements weekly
- Post Insurance & patient refunds in refund exporter
- Balance all JOI facilities for close of day balancing
- Reconcile tickets in Data Entry designed owners box
- Will manually post, balance & reconcile Insurance and Patient payments
Position Requirements
- Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a payment posting, medical billing or other pertinent healthcare related admin position.
- Current experience with electronic Medicare payment posting.
- Must be able to post electronic (ERA) Insurance Payments
- High school diploma or GED.
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding and insurance billing for HMO, Commercial, Worker’s Compensation and Medicare carrier types.
- Must be able to read and interpret Medicare, Managed Care and W/comp EOB’s
- Have some knowledge of Managed Care Contracts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective computer skills.
