- The pay range is $15 to $18 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications).
- A leading mental health office has an immediate opening for a front office assistant.
- Our hybrid position offers the option for both in-person and remote work (after a 90-day satisfactory probationary period).
- As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for checking clients in and out, answering and returning phone calls, scheduling appointments, following up with clients, e-mailing, scanning and virtual faxing, light cleaning, and assisting the doctor with various tasks.
Responsibilities:
- We're looking for someone with prior experience in a medical/mental health or other professional setting and is familiar with or willing to learn the strict guidelines of HIPAA, confidentiality, privacy, etc. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, flexible, and proficient with the internet, smartphones, computers, and basic office equipment.
- You'll be working with individuals of all different backgrounds, ages, genders, and disabilities, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable interacting with a diverse population and can maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- You'll also be able to assist with proofreading, editing, and managing sensitive documents.
- The position requires reliable transportation, punctuality, and the ability to stand for one hour or more and lift up to 35 pounds if necessary.
- Most communication with the office manager, the doctor, and clients will be done by e-mail, text, and phone, so you should be comfortable with remote and in-person communication.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not mandatory.
