The Pastry Chef - Lead Baker is a key leadership position in the overnight baking operation. The role requires the individual to participate and lead production in a way that meets deadlines, upholds standards, and provides a positive and productive environment during the shift. The team member is responsible for coaching team members, inventory, food safety, ordering, and occasional menu/item development. The position also involves overseeing a team of 4-5 individuals, including line-level supervisors. Advanced knowledge of baking and pastry techniques is required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Formal culinary education or related experience
- 4-10 years of experience in pastry and baking
- Knowledge of advanced baking and pastry techniques
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage teams and delegate tasks effectively
- Experience with inventory, ordering, and food safety
