About Us:

Location: Denver, Colorado (Position may require occasional travel)
Scheduling:
- This role reports in person, 5 days a week to our Denver office
- Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, with occasional calls with our international team outside of working hours
Job Summary:
The Partner Outreach Associate will plan, develop, implement, and analyze the online Farmers Market platform at Pinemelon.com. This includes outreach, meeting with vendors, developing and maintaining the partnership, and maintaining the merchandise assortment & selection process for each vendor.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with local vendors, farmers, ranchers, and producers (the makers).
- Travel to new and existing makers to understand their operations, limitations, and passions to develop/maintain relationships.
- Plans, develops, implements, and organizes programs and projects to advance the mission and goals of the team and company.
- Cross-functionally communicates regarding the status of local products & makers - including updates on seasonal availability, OOS, inventory, supply chain issues, and negotiations with vendors.
- Partner with marketing team to plan collaborations, sales, and ways to partner with makers (i.e events).
- Collaborate with the merchandising team and appropriate category managers to ensure inventory is available in a timely, efficient manner.
- Keep track of sales for each vendor, and compiles weekly sales reports.
- Prioritize and expedites high-demand and special orders.
- Track movement and delivery of anticipated merchandise using online inventory systems.
- Responsible for preparing timely, accurate paperwork that is necessary to send, receive, and process merchandise.
- Resolves issues that may affect shipment and receipt of merchandise.
- Executes Farmers Market departmental goals to help drive sales, increase brand assortment, and develop working relationships with suppliers.
- In the off-season, helps strategize with farmers to scale or sustain their current crop plan for next season - using prior season sales data, farming knowledge, and market experience.
- Responsible for performing cost-benefit, ROI, and other analysis to establish and redefine vendor relationships
- Partner with accounts payable to ensure timely processing of invoices and purchase orders.
- Maintain, update, and organize vendor contracts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Has extensive knowledge in the local food system and market, including knowledge about seasonal produce, the local agriculture landscape, and knowledge relating to trending/popular vendors within the local market.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Superior interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
- Ease and comfortability talking to people to build successful relationships
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent organizational skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Agricultural Studies, Public Relations, Marketing, Environmental Studies, or related field preferred.
- 1+ year of community outreach experience.
- 1 + year of experience working with farms.
- Prior management experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Ability to travel- reliable transportation a must.
