Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with Mental Health conditions and developmental disabilities.
- Implement treatment plans and interventions under the guidance of licensed professionals.
- Assist individuals in developing coping skills and strategies to manage their Mental Health symptoms.
- Conduct assessments and document observations of individuals' behavior and progress.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor individuals for any adverse reactions.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and psychoeducational groups.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of individuals' treatment progress.
Experience:
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of ICD-9 coding for Mental Health diagnoses.
- Familiarity with Christian counseling principles is a plus.
- Understanding of behavioral health concepts and interventions.
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques.
- Experience in providing care for individuals with PTSD is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Mental Health counseling theories and therapeutic approaches.
- Experience working with pediatric populations is desirable.
- Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles is a plus.
