The Urgent Care Center of Connecticut is looking for an experienced Part-Time Medical Receptionistto schedule and check-in patients, verify insurance and collect co-pays and co-insurance for the walk-in clinic and primary care practice. The successful candidate will report to the Office Manager and will support all office related activities. Must be dependable, professional, courteous, have experience with EPIC and speak Spanish.
Only serious candidates who can work all the hours listed and willing to start at $17/hr will be considered.
Hrs are Monday 2pm-8pm, Tuesday 8am-8pm, Wednesday 8am-2pm, Thursday off, Friday 12noon-5pm
Qualifications for the Medical Front Desk Receptionist:
- 1 year minimum experience as a Medical Receptionist in an Urgent Care setting
- 1 year minimum experience with EPIC in an Urgent Care and Primary Care setting
- Bi-lingual in Spanish and English required
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Dependability with work schedule and work load, with flexibility if needed to assist with extra coverage
- Understanding of HIPAA Privacy Rules and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Pleasant and professional customer service skills
Responsibilites for the Medical Front Desk Receptionist:
- Answer multi-phone lines
- Checking in/out private practice and urgent care patients.
- Collecting patient and insurance information
- Verifying insurance
- Collecting Co-pays and balances on account
- Performing prior authorizations for procedures and referrals
- Booking specialist appointments/Radiology appointments
- Booking future appointments for physicals and pre-ops & follow up appointments
- Faxing paperwork
- Processing medical records using EPIC.
- Work with medical staff/other projects as needed and directed by the Office Manager.
