Medical Receptionist/Front Office Assistant

Advanced Dermatology, a robust, well-established independent and privately-owned group practice consisting of 3 Board Certified Dermatologists, a fellowship trained Mohs Surgeon and 4 extenders, with increasing patient base and referrals is seeking to hire a full time Medical Receptionist/Front Office Assistant at our Norwich clinic location.

This position is a vital part of the continued success of our clinic and will act as the face of our day-to-day operations. As such, it is essential to have a welcoming, calming, helpful, friendly and compassionate personality.

Prior Receptionist or front office administration experience is strongly preferred.
Dermatology clinic experience is desired, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.

This position will be assisting in all aspects of our front office operations; including, but not limited to:

- Receptionist - Greeting and welcoming our patients

- Patient check in/out process

- Collecting copayments at the time of treatment

- Answering/triaging incoming calls

- Scheduling patients for surgical and/or non-surgical procedures as well as post surgical follow up appointments

- Verifying patients demographics/insurance

- Obtaining/following up on physician and/or insurance referrals

- Maintaining adequate levels of office supply inventory

- Sorting and sending mail
