About Summer Skills
Summer Skills is a registered, trademarked summer review program for students K - 12 that reinforces learned skills from the previous school year. Our products prevent summer slide, review learned skills and send students back to school more confident and prepared. Summer skills simple to use program takes just 20 minutes, 3 days a week. Because the workbooks are done with pencil and paper and require no screen time, parents don’t have to fight the screen-time battle.
Our products have been used by thousands of schools and have benefited millions of students since their introduction over 30 years ago.
Summary
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for assisting the Summer Skills marketing team with incoming/outgoing calls, orders and various administrative tasks throughout the day.
During the off-season (July-April), this role will be 2 days per week, approximately 6-8 hours/day, 10a - 5p. During in-season (May-June), this role will be full time, Monday-Friday. During the off-season, we can be flexible with which days of the week you work to fit with candidate's schedule.

Essential Functions
- Processes orders via online, fax, email or call center
- Provide the ultimate client experience for assigned clients through constant communication, superior Customer Service, and excellent attention to detail
- Assists Summer Skills department with tracking needs and order status
- Organizes, and stocks product and shipping supplies
- Assists in answering client and client’s customer’s questions and concerns
- Performs inventory transactions and order postings
- Generate reports for customers and assist with any customer and/or client needs
- Assists in various handwork projects
- Other projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications Required

Education and/or Experience
- Looking for someone who has experience within the education field, such as: teaching and/or curriculum development or someone who has sold/marketed educational products.
- High school diploma or equivalent
Language Skills
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills to communicate effectively across departments when completing assignments
- Ability to communicate with others using good interpersonal skills
- Must be comfortable communicating promptly and pleasantly on the phone and through email
- Ability to write reports and correspondence
