Job Title: Part-Time Consumer Insights Analyst

Job Description
This position is for 10-15 hours a week.
The Analyst will be responsible for analyzing direct retailer data and Numerator data to provide Consumer Insights and actionable recommendations to improve sales and profitability. The Analyst will report to Sinco's Data Analytics Director.
The candidate will be one of Sinco’s ‘go-to’ data insights resources and will be asked to conduct high-quality analysis, while leveraging effective communication.
The candidate will live at the intersection between data analytics and retail . The candidate must employ a strong sense of curiosity, desire to continuously learn, and a passion for analyzing data to dig deeper and answer the “why”?
Responsibilities
- Extract and analyze consumer data from direct retailer platform and Numerator.
- Use consumer data from retailer platform and Numerator to complement POS analysis.
- Identify insights and specific opportunities based on analysis of retail and category data and provide recommendations to the account team. Project work will include analytics related to sales reviews, category reviews, overall business trends, assortment etc.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and complete ad-hoc category management reports, trend analysis, and special project work for internal / external leaders as necessary.
- Generate periodically scheduled reports. Clearly communicate and articulate compelling business insights with data and context, verbally, in writing, and through presentations with impactful visualizations.
- Continuously learn. Keep abreast of developments and best practices in data analytics and retail, pursue the knowledge needed to improve capabilities.
Qualifications
Need to Have:
- Undergraduate degree.
- Experience using panel data from Numerator, IRI or other similar databases.
- Strong background in loyalty data analytics with experience using AIP, Unify, or other similar analytics platforms
- Strong understanding of grocery shopping behavior and what factors influence consumer shopping habits
- Data analytics experience in consumer goods or retail.
- Extensive experience analyzing POS, retailer, and panel data to drive sales and share growth.
- High level Excel skills. Highly skilled in other Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word and PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills including verbal, presentation, and written capabilities.
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Customer service orientation.
- Capacity to work independently with a high degree of personal motivation.
Nice to Have:
- Bachelor’s or master's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field.
- Experience working with BJ's Wholesale Club or in the Club Channel is a plus.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
