Washington Montessori School seeks part-time accounting and administrative support for its Business Office. Successful candidates will join a dynamic, supportive, and forward-thinking teaching community of over 55 adults serving 265 students from 18 months through 8th grade. This is a temporary position, estimated at 8-10 hours per week, with potential to continue on an ongoing basis. Partial remote work may be possible after an initial training period.
Responsibilities:
- Process and submit vendor invoices and reimbursement requests for payment
- Process receipts and record details for credit card payments
- Reconcile monthly credit card statements
- Reconcile monthly vendor account statements
- Research and resolve payment-related issues
- Complete purchases of supplies and services
- Prepare and distribute budget reports
- Assist with collection and processing of summer camp payments
- Assist with collection and processing of summer camp forms
- Maintain filing systems (paper and electronic)
- Other duties, as required
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years prior experience with bookkeeping and accounts payable
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to interface with various stakeholders
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel and accounting software preferred

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 10 per week
