Job Description
We are a boutique Internet and business law firm seeking an ambitious paralegal. We are looking for a long-term fit with an interest in growing our office. Ability to work independently, take initiative, multi-task and work under pressure are each an absolute must. Our office is fast-paced, paperless, and looking to grow. Minimum of 3 years of commercial litigation paralegal experience required. This position will support our Internet Defamation and Business Litigation demand.
Proficiency in Office 365 and Clio law office management, or very similar law firm management systems, is highly recommended.
Key Responsibilities:
· Draft legal documents, including pleadings and motions, affidavits, and written discovery.
· Research local rules of civil procedure for various state and federal jurisdictions.
· File motions and pleadings according to state, federal, and local rules.
· Calendar case deadlines to ensure compliance with rules of civil procedure and ethical rules.
· Research and analyze statutes, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources; and provide written analysis to attorneys.
· Coordinate with process servers, court staff, and other third parties to accomplish all necessary tasks, including scheduling, billing issues, etc.
· Interview clients and witnesses and prepare summaries of their statements.
· Prepare, organize, store, and retrieve case files, which may include exhibits, depositions, pleadings, and other items.
· Assist attorneys with depositions, hearings, and/or trial preparation, including the preparation of exhibit binders and electronic exhibits, as well as possibly attending trials and/or hearings.
· Develop and maintain records regarding billable hours spent on specific cases.
· Prepare and file corporate documents, including articles of organization and amendments.
· Proofread contracts, and facilitate the execution of various legal documents.
· Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Skills Required:
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Understanding of legal language and court pleadings and processes, and proficient in state, federal, and local rules of Arizona, but also able to quickly learn rules/procedures of other jurisdictions.
· Excellent interpersonal skills.

· Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education Required:
· Associates degree required (Paralegal Studies or related field preferred); Bachelors degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred.
Job Type: Full-time.
Pay: Salary of: $65,000 to $86,000, depending upon experience, with advancement opportunity for the right candidate. Billable hour requirement will be discussed and varies based on experience. Additional benefits available and will be discussed. Work from home or hybrid available for the right candidate.
