Job Description
We are seeking an Immigration Paralegal to join our office and be an integral part of the team. For this job listing experience in immigration law is required. Our first priority is that you have the underlying skills and character that will serve as the foundation to build more experience on top of.
We welcome those with experience in USCIS, family-based, and victim-based cases, and those with experience in EOIR litigation cases. Whether most of your experience is in one and not the other, or you have equal experience in both we strongly suggest that you apply as we have a need with both types of cases. The firm's current caseload is mostly USCIS cases, however, we are increasingly adding EOIR litigation cases.
Compensation will be determined by your capabilities and level of experience.
Role and Duties:

- The position requires the gathering of supporting documents for filings before the administrative agencies, consulates, and immigration courts.
- You will communicate often with clients always keeping them informed. Following up with the clients as necessary.
- You will assist with clerical duties such as receiving phone calls, processing mail, processing payments, mailing packets, translating documents, calendaring appointments for yourself and the attorney.
- You will need to effectively manage your caseload.
- You will need to advise the attorney of any potential issue so that he can address it before it becomes a problem.

- Fluent Spanish is required for you to communicate with the majority of our clients. The attorney is fluent in Spanish.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour (depending on experience can go lower or higher)
Expected hours: 40 per week
