Prevention Is Key and the Center for Addiction Recovery, Education and Success, (CARES) has an immediate opening for a part-time Outreach Coordinator to work in our two Recovery Centers in Burlington County, NJ. This key position will work to establish a presence in the local community and function to provide Peer-to-Peer recovery support services to individuals who request assistance as part of several community-based initiatives both ongoing and planned within the region.
The ideal candidate:
- is a member of the Burlington County community, familiar with, and knowledgeable of the available resources both in and out of the immediate area
- possesses or is actively working towards their Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist in NJ
- is a person in stable long-term recovery or someone with lived experience and has experience working with the recovery community in some capacity
- has an undergraduate degree in Psychology or a related course of study, or an equivalent number of years of relevant work experience
- has a valid NJ Driver's license and reliable transportation for outreach and events

Work location: Burlington County, NJ
Position will be 24 hours per week, as determined by center needs, with occasional evenings and weekend hours.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
