CONTEXT OF THE JOB:

The Center for Global Programs & Services (CGPS) is the designated unit for coordination and maintenance of all international agreements at the University of Delaware. Under the general direction of the CGPS Director for Global Outreach & Partnerships, the Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of UD's 200+ international partnerships and agreements. The Program Coordinator is a key member of the CGPS team, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders on partnership activities in support of the University's strategic internationalization goals.  The Program Coordinator recommends and enforces UD policies and procedures, follows University financial accounting practices, and represents the University in a positive and professional manner.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains accurate records of the University's international agreements database.
  • Monitors the agreements proposal system, gathering, organizing, and presenting content for review by the Director, Associate Provost for International Programs, and other campus stakeholders.
  • Drafts agreements using pre-approved templates and processes agreements, from entry into the database through negotiation and signing by both parties via DocuSign.
  • Monitors the global agreements email account, responding to inquiries in a timely manner, advising the Director of key messages, and storing key communications in partnership files.
  • Communicates with internal stakeholders and external partners regarding the development and renewal of agreements, providing guidance and support to academic and administrative divisions interested in developing international collaborations.
  • Produces internal reports and statistical briefs, utilizing data from University and other industry sources, to inform University leadership and support the University's Global 360 international strategy.
  • Develops and implements an annual communication plan to engage UD's international partners.
  • Coordinates or supports on-campus activities that align with international partnership initiatives, including visiting delegations and UD visits with partners abroad.
  • Supports campus outreach efforts for faculty and staff to learn about and connect to international opportunities and grants.
  • Collaborates with CGPS staff on departmental programs and University-wide initiatives; assists the Director with various projects, as needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's preferred, and three to five years related experience.
  • Familiarity with current international education practices.
  • Experience collecting, analyzing qualitative and quantitative forms of information and data.
  • Experience drafting reports, briefing materials and presentations for a range of audiences including senior management.
  • Knowledge of protocol in cultural settings.
  • Knowledge of Contracts+ or another contracts database system is a plus.
  • Ability to retain and disseminate a varied body of information and employ independent decision-making skills.  
  • Skill in organizing resources and establishing priorities. 
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally required.
